Kisuke Manaka

Founded in 1872 (Meiji 5) --- A legacy of craftsmanship and tradition passed down through five generations.
Building upon the timeless art of kuro-uchi knife making, fifth-generation blacksmith Kisuke has perfected the forge-welding of stainless steel and high-carbon steel - creating blades of exceptional precision and refinement, without a single compromise.
No pre-laminated clad materials are ever used; instead, each san-mai (three-layer) blade is personally forge-welded by Kisuke himself. From the bonding of the steels and meticulous heat treatment to the final sharpening and handle fitting, every process is completed by his own hand.
Experience the exquisite balance and spirit of a truly forged blade - the culmination of over a century of dedication, skill, and an unwavering pursuit of perfection.
